Electronic Circuit Analysis : ECA Lesson 01 : Introduction

Date : 17.12.2019
P1: RNo 37 Block 01
***********************
Dear All
I will be taking my first class for ECA subject today.
Each group (that we formed earlier) must now focus on coming prepared with basics for every class. Try it and slowly you will.do it.
Please focus on these questions for today's class :
1. How do you find the current/voltage/power in a component in an electrical circuit/network ?
2. How will you explain to operation of a new device like a diode/transistor/FET ?
3. How do you explain time domain and frequency domain ?
************************
Each team focus on these 3 questions, prepare well and by this weekend everyone must be able to answer with clear understanding (not memorised).
I will give prerequisites and general overview of ECA subject today.
*********************************
Let us bring one change in my class from today.
Everyone , bring a note book and write the date and time before my class.
Imagine, you are a human video camera :
Record on paper as much as you can till the end of my class.
After my class, you must be able to tell me accurately what all I have covered.
This will be difficult in the beginning, but you will improve as days go by.
This is a compulsory exercise in my class.
Take it sportively and show me how you are doing it.
We will discuss note taking separately after this.

Electronic Circuit Analysis
Q1. What is Electronics ?
Q2. What is Circuit ?
Q3. What is analysis ?
**************************
How can we learn ECA well ?
* By knowing well all Electronic Devices available today.
* By knowing all laws and  theorems used in Networks/Circuits.
* By learning how to use computer to draw any circuit and then analyse it on the computer itself.
* By learning how to modify the device or device values to get desired voltage/current.
***********************
Pre-requisites:
1. Network laws and theorems
2. Basic characteristics of RLC circuits.
3. Behaviour of Diode/BJT/FET
4. Models of Diode/BJT/FET
5. Operating point and biasing methods
6. Concepts of Gain, attenuation, bandwidth, quality factor, resonant frequency etc.
7. Calculations using dB.

Bye till next class..
